Every year, the residents and visitors in Virginia Beach go all out for St. Patrick’s Day. This year may have a little more distancing, but rest assured – we will all still have a great time! Here are a few events in the area that are worth looking into:
Yuengling Shamrock Marathon Weekend
This annual Shamrock Marathon has been enjoyed but runners for close to 50 years! This year from March 19th through March 21st, the 49th annual race will give you the best Coastal Virginia experience. Try your luck at finishing a new goal this year with racing distances of a marathon, half-marathon, 8K, and a few others. When you cross the finish line, stick around and enjoy the St. Patrick’s Day beach party with Yuengling, Irish stew, and music. Always remember – keep yourself and everyone around you safe during this holiday with private transportation taking you to and from the race and beach party.
“A Touch of the Irish” Food Fest
For this year’s celebrations, COVA Brewing is hosting a food truck feast with many Irish options. Craft brews and music will be there to keep the festivities going from 12 pm to 9 pm on March 13th. COVA Brewing is hosting this event in their clean and modern facility all day to make sure there is enough time for everyone to make it. When you’re ready to go to this mouth-watering feast, call VA Executive Sedan and Limousine to get you there and back safely – plus you won’t have to worry about parking!
St. Patrick’s Day Parade
On Friday, March 12th at 5 pm, the city of Norfolk will be holding its traditional St. Patrick’s Day Parade, one of the largest holiday parades in the United States! This one-and-a-half-mile-long route includes nearly 200 floats, marching bands, and spectators in the thousands. The parade lasts for about two and a half hours, followed by the “After Parade Party” which has food, drinks, live music, and fun! This party is open to the public as long as you are over 21 years of age. Avoid the traffic to and from the parade and party by hiring your very own private transportation, and stay safe afterward with the same service!
However you end up celebrating this year, be sure you and your friends and family stay safe. Social distancing and face masks are still required for these events unless you are eating or drinking. If you are drinking, remember to call your private transportation company for a ride home! VA Executive Sedan and Limousine is the private transportation company to go with this St. Patrick’s Day!
